Auto Accident | CareMed MedicenterWe provide full medical consultation and treatment for your injuries, aches and pains from the time of your accident until you feel better and get the medications and treatment you need. Sometimes you need pain medication and muscle relaxers and other medicines in addition to chiropractic care (since they do not write prescriptions or use medications). You may also need physical therapy and rehabilitation.

We have the expertise and the knowledge to recognize serious and potentially harmful conditions early. We make appropriate referrals to help you to recover early and completely so that you can get back to your life's normal status and activities.

In case you require further investigation or treatment, or legal help, we are affiliated with a range of Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Advanced Imaging Centers and Attorneys in the Central Florida area who we can work with to take care of any issues you might have relating to your injuries, insurance, or medical bills.

New PIP Law | Personal Injury Protection

The new PIP law which went into effect in Florida on January 1, 2013, requires that the diagnosis of the emergency medical condition (EMC) be made without delay and within 14 days of occurrence to help receive PIP benefits.

  • The new law requires that an MD, doctor of osteopathy, dentist, physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner make the EMC diagnosis. If the client does not get diagnosed with an EMC or initially treats with only a chiropractor, the client will only get up to $2500 in PIP benefits.
  • A chiropractor is EXCLUDED from being able to make the EMC diagnosis for purposes of PIP benefits.
  • PIP will only cover chiropractic and other followup care to $10,000 if there is an "Emergency Medical Condition" (EMC).

EMC Defined

  • A medical condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity, which may include severe pain, such that the absence of immediate medical attention could reasonably be expected to result in any of the following:
    • (a) Serious jeopardy to patient health
    • (b) Serious impairment to bodily functions
    • (c) Serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part
